Thrifty Finds

So it turns out lugging around a car seat while thrifting is a bit more challenging than I thought.. But I managed to get out and about this past week and I thought I would share some of my favorite finds:

I collect little vintage deer... I have similar deer to these already but they are just regular ol tan and brown.. so I was super excited when I came across these yellow and pink ones....
I love how vibrant the colors are..
and the pretty rhinestone eyes!
(vintage reindeer... 50 cents for both)

I just love vintage Christmas decorations... I especially like finding PINK ornaments so these three pink and gold lovelies had to come home with me!
(vintage pink ornaments only a nickle a piece!)

My newest vintage crush is baby/ little girl things because I never had a reason to buy them before so its a whole new section of the thrift stores to explore...
I just LOVE this vintage handmade whale dress!
(vintage whale dress... 50 cents)

I found an itty bitty shoe box at a children's clothing sale... then I saw it said Minnetonka and I got reeeaaally excited... I love moccasins and have really wanted to get Millie a tiny pair...
When I opened the box these tiny pink beaded mocs were greeting me! They are so cute!!!
(vintage Minnetonka mocs... $3.00)

Its been a great week for thrifting! Have you found anything amazing lately?

Thrifty Finds

Durham Industries Flat Doll
I wasn't able to find anything that worked on my big wall in our living room. I have tried so many different things and it just didn't work, until Andy bought this "A whale of a sale" sign. I love it!!!

Tomorrow we are taking a break from working on the store. There's not much more we can do until the construction is done. We are going to work on new product for the store.

Have a good night

Thrifty Finds

I found these vintage treasures this weekend!
1. Green atomic clock by General Electric
2. Heart Arabia Finel enamel bowl
3. Framed deer paint by number
4. Flocked jackalope figurine
5. Tin toy toaster with cute decals

I have never seen a clock like this...I love the overall lines of the clock, shape of the clock face, and the atomic style burst in the center!
This jackalope was way too cute/weird not to bring home and this tin toaster will go perfectly with the pink Wolverine vintage toy kitchen that I picked up this past fall.
I am so fortunate to live in northern MN where people have room to store so many great pieces from the past in various out buildings, barns, garages etc... It makes attending yard sales and auctions extra exciting because you never know what you will stumble upon next!
Have you found anything good lately?

Cities Thrifting

Hey Everyone!!! Today has been so awesome! We have found so many good things for the store. The best score of the day was a huge cash wrap. Yesterday we bought a decoy deer that we cant wait to paint! Ikea was good to us too. We will have more pictures of the finds when we can get better photos. Hope you have a good night!

Thrifty Finds

Thrifting is one of my absolute favorite things to do. Over the years I have found myself drawn to cute tiny animal figurines (especially ones with little red bow ties that say 'made in Japan' on the bottom, they are just too cute!) Here is a peek at a little house shelf that I thrifted and painted a pretty aqua blue, it hangs on my dining room wall and is the home to my tiniest animal treasures.

I love this tiny mermaid so much! (found it in Park Rapids, MN)

Also in my dining room are two awesome built in shelves that display some of my favorite vintage finds.

I have been wanting to stumble across Cathrineholm enamelware for years and finally it happened. A friend and I went on a little thrifting road trip and ended up in Brainerd, MN and there it was!

I just love little vintage fawn figurines.

This Kaj Franck Arabia Finel mushroom bowl is one of my most prized finds, I just adore the graphic mushroom design.

We are very busy getting ready for our Yellow Umbrella Gift Shop and Gallery relocation but I will try to get some good thrifting in soon and share all the goodies that find their way home with me.
